Interview with Britta Störmer-Zöhl

To get to know Britta Störmer-Zöhl a little better, we asked her a few questions:

What is a person of trust? Is there anything that distinguishes you as a person of trust?

A confidant is a contact person:in difficult situations where you can't see the way forward yourself. In everyday academic life, situations can arise that are difficult for you to cope with. I will listen to your situation with understanding and, of course, treat it confidentially.

What concerns can I come to you with?

You can come to me with any concerns that have an impact on your studies. We will then discuss how to proceed.

How can I tell if my supervisor is not being fair to me? What can I do in this case?

If you feel that you are being treated unfairly, it would of course be best to talk to the caregiver first. If this is not possible (for whatever reason), you are welcome to contact a trusted person.

My supervisor has not behaved fairly, but I don't want to blacken anyone's name either. How can I be sure that I won't make my situation worse if I talk to you?

I will treat all conversations confidentially and will discuss with you first how I will proceed with any further steps and will not have any conversations without consulting you.

What is the best way to contact you?

If you can't or don't want to speak to me in the lecture hall, an email would be the best option. We will then discuss an appointment for a personal meeting.
